A Turkish barber on South Street
South Street'te bir Türk berberi
Cappadocia sits at 21 South Street, behind a black front and a barber's pole. Inside it is bright and modern — hexagon lights overhead, warm wood benches, and a full wall printed with the balloons and rock houses of Cappadocia.
It is a traditional Turkish barber shop: hair cuts, skin fades, hot towel shaves, face masks, and kids' cuts done with real patience. Customers say the fades are the best they've had, and that the trim is the same every visit.
Two barbers work the chairs, seven days a week. Walk in, take the bench, and there's usually a coffee going while you wait.
